The first Aberdeen Chess Academy Blitz Championship takes place at Northfield Academy on Saturday 16^th September. A magnificent annual cup will be presented to the winner, to be kept in their school trophy cabinet for one year. The winner will also be awarded a smaller cup as a keepsake presentation.

The ‘Blitz’ is the first event of season 2006-07. Time controls are 5-minutes per player, with the first of 10 rounds scheduled to start at 10.30am.  This event is suitable for all standards of play. At the end of the tournament, those wishing to play league games may do so.
